Use a similar commandline as above to do the opposite (switch the screenblank timeout back to 1.5 hours) and tie it to a second Tkinter button that i'd create in my Python program.My end goal is to create a Tkinter button in my Python program to run this command line that I'd use when I plan to be away from my desk for a long while I would use this when I go to bed or something to force it to screenblank without having to wait the 1.5 hours. Find a commandline in terminal to change the screenblank timeout to something much shorter (e.g 1 minute).This is so the display remains on for an extended amount of time without having to touch the screen to wake it, but it will eventually screenblank if I do something like leave the house for the day and forget about it Have the screenblank timeout change from the default (I think 5 minutes) to something much longer like 1.5 hours.I've seen countless articles about disabling screenblanking (including the the sticky'd thread in this forum), but I'm having hard time finding anything regarding changing the screenblank time instead of disabling it entirely. I have a Raspberry Pi 2 (running Rasbian from NOOBS) with an official Raspberry Pi 7 inch screen which I plan on turning onto a display that sits on my desk like a desk clock (it will run a Python program I created with Tkinter that displays time, date, current weather, etc.)
